Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 large loaf of French bread or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Bread:
    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Using a serrated knife, make diagonal cuts in the bread, about 1 inch apart, without cutting all the way through the bottom crust. Rotate the bread and make diagonal cuts in the opposite direction, creating a crosshatch pattern.
  2. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
    • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Stuff the Bread:
    • Carefully open the cuts in the bread and drizzle the garlic butter mixture into each cut, making sure to get it deep into the crevices.
    • Stuff the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese into the cuts, distributing it as evenly as possible.
  4. Bake:
    • Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove the bread from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and chives.
    • Serve immediately, pulling apart the bread pieces to enjoy the cheesy, garlicky goodness.

Enjoy your delicious and flavorful cheesy garlic pull-apart bread!
