Bacon Cheddar Donut Sandwich Recipe



  • 2 glazed donuts
  • 4 slices of crispy bacon
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for cooking


  1. Prepare the Bacon:
    • Cook the bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.
  2. Prepare the Egg:
    • In the same skillet, melt a little butter and fry the egg to your liking (sunny side up, over easy, etc.). Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble the Sandwich:
    • Cut the glazed donuts in half horizontally.
    • In the skillet, lightly toast the cut sides of the donut halves until they are golden brown.
  4. Layer the Ingredients:
    • Place one half of the donut, cut side up, on a plate.
    • Add a slice of cheddar cheese.
    • Place two slices of crispy bacon on top of the cheese.
    • Add the fried egg on top of the bacon.
    • Add another slice of cheddar cheese.
    • Top with the other half of the donut, cut side down.
  5. Melt the Cheese:
    • If you prefer the cheese to be more melted, you can place the assembled sandwich back into the skillet for a minute or two on low heat, covering it with a lid to help melt the cheese.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the sandwich immediately while it’s warm and the cheese is melty.
