1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
4 cups cold water
Ice cubes
Lemon slices (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Watermelon Juice:
In a blender, puree the watermelon cubes until smooth.
Strain the watermelon puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the pulp. Discard the pulp.
Make the Lemonade:
In a small saucepan, combine the lemon juice and sugar. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Combine and Mix:
Add the lemon-sugar mixture to the watermelon juice in the pitcher.
Pour in the cold water and stir well to combine.
Serve:
Fill glasses with ice cubes.
Pour the watermelon lemonade over the ice.
Garnish with lemon slices and a watermelon wedge if desired.
Chill:
Refrigerate any leftover watermelon lemonade and stir well before serving again.
Enjoy this refreshing and tangy watermelon lemonade on a hot day!
