  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Creamy Garlic Herb Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken or beef broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

1. Prepare the Steaks:

  • Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  • Add the butter to the skillet and spoon the melted butter over the steaks as they cook.
  • Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.

2. Cook the Shrimp:

  • In the same skillet, add the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  • Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque.
  • Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

3. Make the Creamy Garlic Herb Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Add the broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard, and bring to a simmer.
  • Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Stir in the chopped parsley, chives, and dried thyme.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Combine and Serve:

  • Return the steaks and shrimp to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over them.
  • Let them heat through for a minute or two.
  • Serve the steaks topped with shrimp and drizzled with the creamy garlic herb sauce.
  • Garnish with additional parsley and chives if desired.

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the steaks in your favorite marinade for a few hours before cooking.
  • Feel free to add your favorite herbs to the sauce, such as rosemary or basil, for a personalized touch.
  • Serve this dish with a side of roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
