Mixing pan

Instructions :

Preparing the Fries:
Preheat oven to 220°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
In a large bowl, toss diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, paprika, salt, and pepper until well coated.
Spread the pastries in an even layer on the baking tray, making sure they are not so full that they look unsightly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
Make homemade ketchup:
While the fries are cooking, combine the tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, allspice and salt in a saucepan over medium heat.
Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, and cook for 20 minutes or until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
Adjust the seasoning if necessary and remove from the heat. Let it cool before serving.
Serve hot, light fries with a bowl of homemade ketchup for dipping.

Perfect fries Tips:

Choosing potatoes: Choosing the right type of potatoes is the key to the best fries. Russet potatoes are good in terms of starch content and texture.
Even cutting: Try to cut fries to a certain thickness to ensure even cooking.
Avoid Overcrowding: Spreading the chips in the same layer with space between them helps to achieve high density.

These spicy fries with homemade ketchup aren’t just a crowd-pleaser, they’re also a fun way to add gourmet to an ordinary meal. Whether you’re hosting a game night or just having a family dinner, this dish is sure to please.
