Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Pie


1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
1 kilo of ground meat
½ teaspoon salt
Black pepper flour to taste
Garlic powder to taste (optional)
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
½ cup Original Bisquick mix (or all-purpose flour)
1 cup whole milk
2 large eggs

Preheat the oven to 400° F. Grease a medium-sized glass baking dish with vegetable oil.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat and fry the onion until soft, about 3 minutes.
Add the minced meat to the pan and break it up with a spatula. Cook until thickened, 10 minutes. Remove excess fat from the meat and season with salt, black pepper, etc. and season with garlic powder.
Divide the cooked and seasoned beef on the prepared plate. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the beef.
In a small bowl, whisk Bisquick mixture (or flour), milk and eggs until combined. Pour this dough over the meat and cheese in a bowl.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Serve hot and enjoy this comforting slice of cheeseburger pie.
