Meatball boats

Homemade meatballs are a given in an Italian family. I learned how to make mine from my mother-in-law. Her recipe is a wholesome meat sauce. So when I’m craving meatballs during the week, I take a shortcut and make them in my crock pot. This is not a quick meal, but it is easy, with few ingredients and with meatballs you can make several meals if you make more like I do.
