Ingredients:

For the Loaf:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Batter:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and poppy seeds. Set aside.
    • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.

    • Once the loaf has cooled, drizzle the lemon glaze over the top, allowing it to drip down the sides.
