Homemade Pizza Rolls

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 package egg roll wrappers (about 20 wrappers)
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices, chopped
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare Filling:
    • In a medium bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped pepperoni, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
  3. Assemble Pizza Rolls:
    • Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface.
    • Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the cheese and pepperoni mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
    • Add a small spoonful of marinara sauce on top of the cheese mixture.
    • Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly. Seal the edge with a dab of water.
    • Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  4. Bake Pizza Rolls:
    • Place the assembled pizza rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve:
    • Allow the pizza rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving.
    • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
    • Serve with additional marinara sauce for dipping.
