Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or Italian-style)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. If the chicken breasts are thick, you may want to pound them to an even thickness to ensure even cooking.
  2. Make the Coating:
    • In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Coat the Chicken:
    • Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil or melted butter on both sides.
    • Dredge each chicken breast in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the coating adheres well.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Cook the Chicken:
    • Place the coated chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
    • Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken breasts and continue to cook for an additional 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve:
    • Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes.
    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
    • Serve warm, perhaps with a side of vegetables, salad, or pasta.

This Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. It’s a quick and easy dish that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner. Enjoy!
