Garlic Herb Cheese Bread

 

 

Ingredients:

For the Garlic Herb Butter:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried basil)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

For the Bread:

  • 1 French baguette or Italian loaf, sliced into 1-inch thick slices

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Garlic Herb Butter:
    • In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
    • Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
    • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  3. Prepare the Bread:
    • Slice the French baguette or Italian loaf into 1-inch thick slices.
    • Spread the garlic herb butter generously onto each slice of bread.
  4. Bake the Bread:
    • Arrange the buttered bread slices on a baking sheet.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the garlic herb cheese bread warm.
