Pepperoni Cheese Toast



  • 4 slices of thick bread (such as Texas toast or a hearty artisan bread)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 16 slices of pepperoni
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Optional: marinara sauce for dipping


  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Bread:
    • Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
    • Place the bread slices butter-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Add the Toppings:
    • Mix the garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried basil in a small bowl.
    • Sprinkle the mixed herbs evenly over the unbuttered side of the bread slices.
    • Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese over each slice of bread.
    • Top the cheese with 4 slices of pepperoni on each piece of toast.
  4. Bake the Toast:
    • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
    • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the toasts cool slightly.
    • Optionally, serve with a side of warm marinara sauce for dipping.
