Fudgy Chocolate Brownies with Chocolate Chips

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Brownie Batter:
    • In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until well combined.
    • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    • Add the flour and salt, and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
    • Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  3. Bake the Brownies:
    • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
    • Sprinkle the extra semi-sweet chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips over the top of the batter.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (the brownies will continue to cook as they cool).
  4. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the baking dish before cutting into squares.
    • Serve and enjoy your fudgy chocolate brownies topped with chocolate chips!
