Fluffy Pancakes Recipe

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. Prepare the Wet Ingredients:
    • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract (if using).
  3. Combine the Ingredients:
    • Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients.
    • Stir until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy; do not overmix.
  4. Cook the Pancakes:
    • Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
    • Pour or scoop about 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
    • Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.
    • Flip with a spatula and cook until browned on the other side, another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve hot with fresh strawberries and a small bowl of chocolate spread or your favorite toppings like maple syrup, butter, or whipped cream.
