Chocolate-Covered Nutty Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts, almonds, or pecans)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cups milk chocolate, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
    • Fold in the chopped nuts and chocolate chips.
  3. Shape the Cookies:
    • Scoop out dough balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each dough ball slightly with the palm of your hand.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. Coat with Chocolate:
    • Once the cookies are completely cooled, dip each cookie into the melted milk chocolate, covering them entirely. Place the chocolate-covered cookies on a sheet of parchment paper to set.
  6. Serve:
    • Once the chocolate coating has set, the cookies are ready to be enjoyed. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Enjoy your homemade chocolate-covered nutty cookies!
