Cheesy Beef and Mushroom Pie

  • 1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade if you prefer)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a pie dish and crimp the edges. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown.
  5. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes to combine the flavors.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the heavy cream.
  7. Spread the beef and mushroom mixture evenly into the prepared pie crust.
  8. In a bowl, mix the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses together. Sprinkle the cheese mixture over the top of the beef and mushroom filling.
  9. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  10. Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Enjoy your homemade cheesy beef and mushroom pie!
