  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)


  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Season the Beef: Add the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika to the beef mixture. Stir to combine. Then add the ketchup and mustard, stirring until well mixed. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Prepare the Dough: Unroll the pizza dough onto the prepared baking sheet and stretch it out slightly.
  5. Assemble the Bread:
    • Spread the cooked beef mixture down the center of the dough, leaving about 2 inches of dough on each side.
    • Sprinkle the chopped bacon over the beef mixture.
    • Top with the shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Fold and Seal:
    • Fold the sides of the dough over the filling, overlapping them slightly in the center.
    • Pinch the ends of the dough to seal the edges and prevent the filling from leaking out.
  7. Egg Wash and Bake:
    • Brush the top of the dough with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Cool and Serve: Let the stuffed bread cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with additional ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce.
