Carne Asada Tacos take the classic flavors of beef tacos to the next level in just five minutes. Get the job done with a flavorful citrus marinade.


1½ lbs. Flank steak or skirt, without excess fat
1 bottle (24.5 ounces) Mojo Criollo
½ white onion, very finely chopped
¼ cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
2 limes, one in juice (about 2 tbsp.), the other cut into wedges
½ tsp. Salt
1 tbsp. Corn Oil
12 Corn Tortillas


1. Cut tenderloin into ½ inch pieces; Place in a large, non-metallic bowl or deep plate. Pour mojo over the steak, making sure all pieces are fully submerged. cover and place in the refrigerator.Marinate for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours. Let the steak stand at room temperature 30 minutes before cooking; Drain and discard marinade.


2. In a small bowl, stir together white onion, cilantro, lime juice and salt until well combined. Cover and refrigerate until needed.
3.Pat the steak dry with a paper towel. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. cook in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through, about 5 minutes per batch; Transfer to a serving plate; Tent with aluminum foil to keep warm.

4. Heat a large griddle, cast iron skillet, or other heavy skillet over medium-high heat.Add enough tortillas to cover the surface of the comal. Leave some space between each tortilla. Cook, turning once, until lightly charred, heated through, and pliable, about 30 seconds per batch. Transfer the tortillas to a tortilla holder, foil wrapper, or clean kitchen towel to keep warm.

5. To assemble the tacos, fill the tortilla with the meat; Decorate with the reserved onion and coriander mixture. Drizzle with taco sauce if desired.Serve with lime wedges.
