For the Brownie Base:

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the package)

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 3 packages (24 ounces total) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Caramel Sauce:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Pinch of salt

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Additional caramel sauce
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings


  1. Prepare the Brownie Base:
    • Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the brownie mix package.
    • Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
    • Prepare the brownie batter according to the instructions on the package.
    • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
    • Bake according to the package instructions. Once baked, set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:
    • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
    • Gradually add the granulated sugar while continuing to beat until well combined.
    • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    • Mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  3. Assemble the Cheesecake:
    • Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled brownie base in the springform pan.
    • Use a spatula to spread the cheesecake filling evenly over the brownie layer.
  4. Bake the Cheesecake:
    • Place the springform pan on a baking sheet to catch any drips.
    • Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  5. Cool and Chill:
    • Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside with the door slightly ajar for about 1 hour.
    • After cooling, transfer the cheesecake to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight to set completely.
  6. Make the Caramel Sauce:
    • In a medium saucepan, heat the granulated sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it melts and turns golden brown.
    • Add the butter to the melted sugar and stir until melted and combined.
    • Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring constantly. Be careful as the mixture will bubble up.
    • Cook the caramel sauce for an additional 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in a pinch of salt. Let it cool slightly before using.
  7. Serve:
    • Once the cheesecake is fully chilled, carefully remove it from the springform pan.
    • Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the cheesecake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
    • Optionally, garnish with additional whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
