  • 100g of milk chocolate
  • 100g of unsalted butter
  • 200g of sweetened condensed milk
  • 100g of chopped nuts (optional, for extra crunch)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • 50g of chopped hazelnuts (for coating)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Biscuits:
    • Break the digestive biscuits into small pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl. You can use a rolling pin to crush them slightly if you prefer smaller pieces.
  2. Melt the Chocolate Mixture:
    • In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate, milk chocolate, unsalted butter, and sweetened condensed milk.
    • Place the bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (double boiler method) and stir until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
    • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  3. Combine Biscuits and Chocolate:
    • Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the broken biscuits in the mixing bowl.
    • Add the chopped nuts (if using) and mix well until all the biscuit pieces are fully coated with the chocolate mixture.
  4. Shape the Bars:
    • Line a rectangular baking dish with parchment paper.
    • Pour the biscuit and chocolate mixture into the dish and press down firmly to create an even layer.
    • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the mixture is set and firm.
  5. Prepare the Coating:
    • Melt the hazelnut chocolate spread in a microwave-safe bowl or using the double boiler method.
    • Once melted, add the chopped hazelnuts and stir well.
  6. Coat the Bars:
    • Remove the set chocolate biscuit mixture from the refrigerator and cut it into bars of your desired size.
    • Dip each bar into the melted hazelnut chocolate spread, ensuring it is fully coated.
    • Place the coated bars on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate the coated bars for another 30 minutes or until the chocolate coating is set.
    • Once set, the no-bake chocolate biscuit bars are ready to be enjoyed.
