Layered Mango and Strawberry Smoothie

 

Ingredients:

  • For the Mango Layer:
    • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
    • 1 cup mango juice or orange juice
    • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (optional for creaminess)
    • 1-2 tablespoons honey (optional for sweetness)
    • 1 cup ice cubes
  • For the Strawberry Layer:
    • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
    • 1 cup apple juice or any berry juice
    • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (optional for creaminess)
    • 1-2 tablespoons honey (optional for sweetness)
    • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Garnish:
    • Fresh mango slices
    • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mango Layer:
    • In a blender, combine the chopped mangoes, mango juice (or orange juice), Greek yogurt (if using), honey, and ice cubes.
    • Blend until smooth and creamy.
    • Pour the mango mixture into a pitcher and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Strawberry Layer:
    • Rinse out the blender.
    • Combine the strawberries, apple juice (or berry juice), Greek yogurt (if using), honey, and ice cubes.
    • Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Layer the Smoothie:
    • In a tall glass, pour a layer of the mango smoothie.
    • Gently pour a layer of the strawberry smoothie over the back of a spoon to create a distinct layer.
    • Continue alternating layers until the glass is full.
  4. Garnish and Serve:
    • Top the smoothie with fresh mango slices and a sprig of mint.
    • Serve immediately with a straw and a spoon to enjoy the beautiful layers.
