Chocolate Nut Clusters Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
  • 2 cups mixed nuts (e.g., peanuts, almonds, cashews)
  • 1 cup dried fruit (e.g., cranberries, raisins) (optional)
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ingredients:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or set out mini paper cupcake liners on a tray.

2. Melt the Chocolate:

  1. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips.
  2. Microwave the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate in a double boiler over simmering water.

3. Combine the Nuts and Fruit:

  1. Add the mixed nuts and dried fruit (if using) to the melted chocolate. Stir until all the nuts and fruit are well coated with the chocolate.

4. Form the Clusters:

  1. Using a spoon, drop small mounds of the chocolate-nut mixture onto the prepared baking sheet or into the mini paper cupcake liners.
  2. If desired, top each cluster with festive sprinkles.

5. Set the Clusters:

  1. Allow the clusters to set at room temperature until the chocolate is firm, about 1-2 hours. For quicker setting, you can place the tray in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
