Cheesy Chicken and Broccoli Casserole

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare Ingredients:
    • Steam the broccoli florets for about 5 minutes until they are tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the condensed cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
    • Stir in the shredded chicken and steamed broccoli until evenly coated with the mixture.
  3. Assemble the Casserole:
    • Spread the chicken and broccoli mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
    • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  4. Prepare Topping:
    • In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and melted butter. Stir until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated with the butter.
    • Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the cheese layer.
  5. Bake the Casserole:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Serve:
    • Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.
    • Serve warm and enjoy the creamy, cheesy goodness.
