Twix Cookies

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg white
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
20 caramels (unpackaged)
1 tablespoon milk
2 cups milk chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Beat the butter and sugar until creamy.
Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
Add flour and baking powder. Mix well.
Roll out the dough to 1/4 to 1/2 its width. Use a circular saw to cut the circle. Transfer to a greased pan.
Bake at 350° for 6-8 minutes. Once the cookies are brown and no longer shiny, remove them from the oven.
Transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely.
While the cookies are cooling, microwave the caramel and milk for 1 minute. Mix for 30 seconds. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Carefully pour a small amount of caramel onto each cookie and spread around the cookie.
Refrigerate cookies and caramels for 10-15 minutes or until completely cooled.
Melt the chocolate for 30 seconds until melted and mixed.
Spread some chocolate on each cookie. Let the chocolate cool and set before serving.
